Cherry blossoms in western and central Japan and Tokyo have passed the peak. The cherry blossom flowers are moving up to Aomori Prefecture in northern Japan. The cherry blossom flowers in Hirosaki Park and in Ashino Park (both in Aomori Prefecture) have just opened. The flowers are expected to reach peak bloom this weekend.
